Many Yanch customers are not aware that they
may be eligible to receive substantial grants for the installation
of a High Efficiency Furnace in there home.
The amount of these
Energuide Grants will vary from home to home. Customers who are
replacing older standard efficiency equipment will receive the
highest Grants. To be eligible for the Energuide Program customers
must undergo a Pre and Post evaluation of there homes.
Yanch Heating will make arrangements
and pay for the evaluation of your home for any customers who
have contracted with us to have a standard efficiency gas furnace
replaced with a High Efficiency Model. Since the amounts of the
Grants vary we will guarantee a minimal rebate of $300 on qualifying
installations and will reimburse the customer the difference.

The EnerGuide for
Houses Retrofit Incentive provides grants to homeowners that
improve the energy efficiency of their homes. Homeowners
that can demonstrate a minimum improvement in their home
as documented by pre- and post- EnerGuide for Houses evaluations,
may qualify for grants between $116 and $3,348.
Only
those improvements made after your first EnerGuide for Houses
evaluation will be considered for the grant. Be sure to have
a Home Performance
Energy Advisor visit your home before beginning any renovations. |

 |
| Who is eligible
for an EnerGuide for Houses Retrofit Incentive grant? |
| You can apply for
a grant only for a home that you own, provided it is your
primary residence. This includes semi-detached and row houses
as well as mobile homes on permanent foundations. Houses that have
pre- and post- retrofit EnerGuide for Houses ratings will
be eligible. Grants are available
for a specific time period. Homeowners that had their first
EnerGuide at any time prior to August 12, 2003 have until
October 15, 2004 to complete their second evaluation and
have their application received. For homeowners who had their
first evaluation after August 12, 2003, they have 18 months
to complete their second evaluation and submit their application
to qualify for the grant. The closing date for submissions
to the grant program is March 31, 2007. Grant amounts will
be based only on your home's improvement in the EnerGuide
rating, and NOT on the amount of money spent to achieve those
improvements. Some conditions apply. |

 |
 |
| How does one apply
for a grant? |
| Begin with an EnerGuide
evaluation to get a starting EnerGuide rating. After
you have completed energy efficiency retrofits and your
home has had a follow-up EnerGuide evaluation, your Home
Performance Energy Advisor will apply on your behalf. Once
the advisor has submitted the paperwork, you can expect
a cheque within 90 days. Homeowners will
be able to apply only once per house. The funds for this
program are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The government of Canada has allocated $73.4 million dollars
to the EnerGuide for Houses Retrofit Incentive. |
